New IHS guidelines – Evidence-based guidelines on the use of non-invasive neuromodulation devices for the acute and preventive treatment of migraine – have been published in Cephalalgia.
Hsiangkuo Yuan led a team of authors comprising 15 senior members and 6 junior members, and conducted a systematic review across 6 databases from 1946 to April 2025.
Randomized controlled trials evaluating FDA or CE-marked non-invasive neuromodulation devices were included and the quality of evidence was assessed using GRADE methodology. Recommendations were developed through consensus following GRADE Evidence-to-Decision frameworks.
