Following the election of current Secretary, Dr Patricia Pozo-Rosich, as President-elect, the IHS Board has appointed Dr Sait Ashina as Honorary Secretary.

Sait is Assistant Professor of Neurology and Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, and a Director of the Comprehensive Headache Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, USA.

Sait has gained experience and knowledge of IHS through his role as an Elected Trustee since 2023 and now moves forward to fulfil the role of Secretary. The Secretary is a crucial member of the Board, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Society and providing assistance and support to the President and Trustees.

Sait says: ““I am pleased to share that I have been elected to serve as Honorary Secretary of the International Headache Society. It is a privilege to contribute to an organization dedicated to advancing headache science, education, and global patient care. I am grateful to my colleagues for their confidence and look forward to supporting the Society’s mission in this new role.”
