Biography

Jennifer Trouerbach-Kraan is a headache nurse in the Department of Neurology at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). After working for many years as a nurse in the clinic, she found a new challenge in headache care in 2008. The many facets of the work and the opportunity to contribute to headache care worldwide are challenging.

She advocates for the importance of development in nursing practice and is familiar with the duties and responsibilities of headache nurses. She is a co-author of consensus recommendations for the treatment of migraine and the role of nurses in headache care. Nurse Leadership is an important development in healthcare, and it is her mission to promote this worldwide.

Jennifer serves as the President of the International Forum for Headache Nurses (IFHN).
