Biography
Marcin Straburzyński, MD, PhD, is an associate professor of family medicine at the University of Warmia and Mazury’s Department of Family Medicine and Infectious Diseases in Olsztyn. His clinical roles combine general practice with an extended role as a consultant in headache and facial pain.
Dr. Straburzyński serves as Secretary for both the Polish Headache Society and the Headache Section of the Polish Neurological Society. He also presided over the Warmia & Mazury Division of the College of Family Physicians (2021–2026) and chaired the organizing committee for the annual Headache in Everyday Practice symposium series (2017–2022).
His scientific contributions include co-directing the landmark "Migraine in Poland" nationwide survey and researching the neurological etiologies of "sinus headache"—work that resulted in an international proposal to revise the diagnostic criteria for this condition. Additionally, he has co-authored Polish guidelines for headache management, written several national book chapters, and published numerous articles in international scientific journals.
