As President of the International Headache Society, I strongly support the statement by my colleague the President of the European Academy of Neurology regarding the situation in Ukraine.

The International Headache Society is an apolitical charitable organisation, but the society cannot condone this act of aggression from one nation towards another. I hope human dignity will prevail and will illuminate political leaders to find a rapid and quick solution for this crisis. 

The International Headache Society will continue to support neurologists and healthcare professionals both in Ukraine and Russia through our membership and online education, and we hope for a swift and peaceful end to this distressing and worrying situation.

Our thoughts are with our colleagues and friends in Ukraine.
