Biography

Arão Belitardo de Oliveira, BS., PhD is an exercise physiologist working in the clinical and research field of headache disorders, physical activity, mental health, and lifestyle factors. He initially received a B.S. in Sports Science and Physical Education (2000), majoring in Exercise Physiology & Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Sao Paulo - USP (2002), Heart Institute (InCor), Brazil. He has a Doctorate in Neurology & Neuroscience (2016) from the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil, conducting clinical projects on exercise and migraine. His Ph.D. in Neuroepidemiology is from the University of Sao Paulo – USP (2022), the same department where he currently runs a postdoctoral researcher position investigating neuroimaging, lifestyle factors, and mental health comorbidities of headache disorders. Dr. Oliveira recently completed (2022) an IHS Fellowship at the Danish Headache Center, Glostrup, Denmark. He is a member of the International Headache Society, Headache Society´s Physiotherapy and Physical Activity Committee, International Society for Physical Activity and Health (ISPAH), and the International Society for Exercise Immunology.
