Biography
Freda Dodd-Glover is a fellow of the West African college of Physicians (FWACP, Internal medicine, neurology) and a fellow of the Stroke and Cardiovascular Research Training programme (S-CaRT). She is a neurologist at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital, Accra, Ghana, where she supervises medical students and residents in training alongside clinical work.
She is the president of the African Headache Network (AHEAD) and a member of the International Headache Society membership committee. She has served on Regional Outreach Programmes of the HIS (HIS-ROPE) to Malawi as a resource person, bridging the gap in headache management in sub-Saharan Africa.
She has spoken at several webinars and training sessions of headache management in Ghana. Her research interest is in migraine associated comorbidities among other neurological disorders. She actively advocates for persons living with migraine and recently led a hospital-based campaign within the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital aiming to achieve a migraine-friendly hospital environment.
She dedicates part of her time to collaborating with two non-profit organizations, providing complimentary neurological services to underserved communities in Ghana and advancing the assessment and treatment of chronic neurological conditions such as primary headaches and epilepsy.
