Biography

Dr Wu is the attending neurologist at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He graduated as MD from the Medical School of Taipei Medical University. After completing his medical degree, he received neurology residency training at the Department of Neurology of Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He is the recipient of the Best Resident Award of the Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Also, he earned Resident Research Travel Scholarship at of 2016 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting. After becoming an attending neurologist, Dr Wu has enjoyed teaching medical students and received Teaching Excellence Awards from the College of Medicine of National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University several times.

Dr Wu has been actively involved in research of neurology since the 2010s. He is interested in clinical and neuroimaging research for primary and secondary headache disorders and has authored 16 articles and book chapters. His research focuses on neuroimaging, pathophysiology, and treatment for migraine and cluster headache. Moreover, Dr Wu published several research articles about neuroimaging and treatment for spontaneous intracranial hypotension. Currently, he is the director of National Science and Technology Council (Taiwan) research projects in cluster headaches. He is also lead author of the 2022 Taiwan Guidelines for Preventive Treatment of Migraine.
