Biography

Maria Karina Velez Jimenez, MD, PhD, is a specialist in Neurology.

She is founding president of the Mexican Association of Headache and Migraine (AMCEMIG) 2018-2020 and founding coordinator of the headache group of the Mexican Academy of Neurology. She is also a past Treasurer and Secretary of the Mexican Academy of Neurology and current secretary of the Latin American Headache Society.

Dr Velez Jimenez is an active council woman of the Mexican Neurology Council and member of the IHS AMN, AHS, AAN and ANA.

Her research focuses on Headache and Migraine and is an editor of several guidelines and books on those topics.
