General Practitioners
Aims
The aims of the General Practitioners Special Interest Group are to:
- Strengthen primary care management of headache disorders through shared best practices, early diagnosis, and effective treatment strategies
- Build an international network of GPs to promote collaboration with each other and with multidisciplinary colleagues across the IHS
- Develop practical educational resources tailored to primary care needs, contributing to IHS training and outreach activities
- Ensure primary care representation within the IHS, contributing to guidelines, policy discussions, and global health initiatives
Integrating primary care perspectives into the management of headache disorders is essential for enhancing patient care and for advancing and disseminating knowledge in this field. The General Practitioners SIG will foster international collaboration among primary care practitioners and other clinicians, ultimately contributing to improved outcomes for individuals affected by headache disorders at earlier stages of their care pathway.
